3 Questions to Ask in Prayer

June 5, 2022

Is God setting the agenda for your family? So often we go to the Lord with our agenda and we ask Him to bless it but that way is backwards.

Sterling shares three questions to ask in prayer for better discernment. Let’s put God back into the driver’s seat with our work, our kids, and our time.

TRANSCRIPT OF THE SHOW

Hi, and welcome to the Made for Greatness podcast. I’m your host Sterling Jaquith, and today on episode 81, we are talking about three important questions to ask during prayer. I recently listened to a podcast episode by Father John Ricardo, who I love. My favorite priest podcast is his podcast. And I will link this episode up for you. He is talking about these three questions greatly in the context of parishes. He talks about families a little bit, mostly parishes, and this is the work that his ministry does. He was a diocesan priest for a long time, and now he runs a program where they go and they train priests, basically how to be more effective in parishes. And so they were doing some of this work before, but he describes that they’ve kind of taken it to this next level. And it was so powerful and it convicted me so much that I thought, you know, I just wanna do an entire episode on these three questions.

Hosts

Lorissa Horn & Sterling Jaquith

Sterling and Lorissa are very different moms. Lorissa lives in town, her family loves playing baseball, and she’s proud to send them to Catholic school. Sterling lives in the country, her family loves camping, and she unschools the kids.

The thing these women have in common, an unyielding devotion to Christ. Seriously, if you hang out with either of them, they’re gonna talk about Jesus, a lot. He’s the center of their life.
